Well as you might know 7MM glass is very thick. And this style of piece heavy also is meant to be used while leaning back, say on the couch. Not to perpetuate any stereotypes. A great piece none the less, and like I said you can hit it while your relaxing on the couch. Also has two feet near the mouthpiece for laying it down which will keep it at the right level so water doesn't come out.
